HP Power Advisor & DL585G6 Servers - no disk options
I am trying to produce some power consumtion estimates using the HP Power Advisor utility.
However when I select the server - DL585G6 - I am unable to configure it with any disk drives.
The options for CPU, Memory work but there are no drive types configured for this server.
I have tried the online version and the downloadable version (1.32) but both have the same problem.
Any ideas?

Re: HP Power Advisor & DL585G6 Servers - no disk options
I have noticed that too.
The hard drives across the G6 series all draw the same power as far as I can tell, no matter what server they are in. I just pulled up a 385 G6 at the same voltage/usage, recorded the power, and added the drives, and applied the difference onto the power readings for the 585 G6 with all the other features I needed.
An in-house test was able to confirm the measurements were just about perfect.

Re: HP Power Advisor & DL585G6 Servers - no disk options
This problem is fixed in version 1.33 of the Power Advisor. The downloadable version of 1.33 was just posted on hp.com, but the Online version hasn't updated yet.
I agree with Saberus, you can also just take the drive power from another server.

Thanks - the latest version 1.33 does indeed fix the problem.
