HP ProLiant DL320 G(X) Servers

I upgrade several different ProLiant DS320 generation 1,2,3 and 4 servers.

Is there some way to determine which "generation" the platform is remotely without the shutdown, F9 to get into ROM BIOS?

can you clarify? what options you looking from server ?

ProLiant Support Pack on each server and then data collection and reports from HP SIM...
