I have HP ProLiant DL360 server with RAID 5 (HP Smart Array E200 Controller).
OS - Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
The output hpacucli ctrl slot 0 = show gives the result:
Smart Array E200i in Slot 0 (Embedded)
Bus Interface: PCI
Slot: 0
Serial Number: PR78MV1116
Cache Serial Number: P9A3A0B9SU35MY
RAID 6 (ADG) Status: Disabled
Controller Status: OK
Hardware Revision: A
Firmware Version: 1.86
Rebuild Priority: Medium
Expand Priority: Medium
Surface Scan Delay: 15 secs
Surface Scan Mode: Idle
Post Prompt Timeout: 0 secs
Cache Board Present: True
Cache Status: OK
Cache Ratio: 50% Read / 50% Write
Drive Write Cache: Enabled
Total Cache Size: 128 MB
Total Cache Memory Available: 96 MB
No-Battery Write Cache: Disabled
Cache Backup Power Source: Batteries
Battery/Capacitor Count: 1
Battery/Capacitor Status: OK
SATA NCQ Supported: False
But I do not understand the line "RAID 6 (ADG) Status: Disabled". As far as I know, HP Smart Array E200 Controller does not support RAID 6. Why displays information about it?

Re: HP ProLiant DL360 server and RAID 6
This is probably the standard message from the tool if RAID6 is not available for any reason.
In this case with e200 it is not available at all...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Solution
The following Smart Array Controllers cannot be upgraded to use NCQ due to hardware limitations:
- Smart Array E200
- Smart Array P600
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
