HP ProLiant DL380 G9 - HDD Sata

Dear All

 

I have HP ProLiant DL380 G9 with SAS 300GB X5

I'm planning to purchase a sata HDD and add it to the server, not SAS, So does DL380 G9 accept these kind of HDDs?

Or is it possible to add HDD to DL380 G9?

The Smart Array controllers for the DL380 Gen9 server support both SAS and SATA drives. The only configuration rules is you cannot mix drive types in the same array.
