HP ProLiant ML110 G5 - Problems with embedded RAID
Hello everybody,
I have some problems with the embedded RAID Controller of a HP ProLiant ML110 G5.
This server is actualy running with the following driver(s):
Adaptec Serial ATA HostRAID
Date 10/18/2010
Version 1.5.17023.0
-and-
Adaptec Processor Device (Pseudo)
Date 11/29/2007
Version 1.4.17015.0
Problem:
One of the RAID1 drives failed and I removed it. Now I purchased two new drives with bigger capacity. Because it is not possible to resize the actual RAID-Volume at this controller, i want to create a new RAID array on the new drives and restore a backup on them.
If i do so (unplug the runnig drive, plugin the two new, create a new array, runnig Windows 2008 R2 revovery CD) Windows does not recognize the created RAID Volume. But even if I submit the above drivers, it does not work.
My Question:
Is this driver the correct one? With which it would work? Could there be other problems?
Thanks for your help!
Greetings,
Dennis

Re: HP ProLiant ML110 G5 - Problems with embedded RAID
Never do Hardware Raid mix with software Raid, I test it for experience and loose the software mirror and information at other array.
Sorry for the other reply
Good Luck
