HP Proliant 380 G6 RAM Upgrade

Does it matter what brand you purchase? Does buying non HP OEM brand RAM void the warranty on the server?

That will not void the warranty, but the server will most probably not work stabil, if you install not supported dimms.

If your going to buy compat memory such as Crucial or hypertec, its always best not to mix and match.  Either ALL HP or ALL compat.  Just my experience :-)
