HP Proliant DL 120 G5 USB HDD boot priority

I am currently have two 400GB Maxtor USB disks constantly connected to my Proliant DL120 G5 server as I use the disks as part of my backup routine. The system boots from a two disk RAID 0 array on the built in SATA. However when the two USB drives are connected the system will not boot from the RAID array.

I have tried changing the boot priority in the bios putting and have set 'Hard Drive' to have boot priority and on the Hard drive priority page I have set the raid drive above the two usb disks. I have also disabled booting from the network card and have set the USB boot priority to low. None of these changes will allow the machine to boot when the usb disks are plugged in and the system sits there with Operating system not found on the screen.

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can disable booting from USB?

You need to look for the "boot controller order" setting in the bios, and not the boot device priority. Not sure exactly where it is for your server and bios version but search for it.
