HP Proliant DL 380 G5 Fully Compliant to 64 Bit OS such as Windows 2008 R2?
Dear Brothers,
I would like to know if the HP Proliant DL 380 G5 Server is compliant with 64 Bit OS such as Windows 2008 R2? We are currently planning to upgraded our Datacenter Servers to G7, cause according to our consultant the G5 is not compliant with 64 Bit OS and there is a need to upgrade.
If the Physical Server can run a 64 Bit OS does this mean the Server is a 64 Bit Hardware Compliant as well?
Is there a tool that I can run/use to know if a Physical Server can run a 64 Bit OS, which can also provide a report so that there will be a documentation concerning the test.
We are seeing a 100 plus servers to be decommisioned if this is a fact that the G5 is not 64 Bit Compliant. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Regards,

The DL380 G5 is supported with windows 2008 r2 x64.
Here is a good site from HP that you can verify which Microsoft operating system is supported on HP's Server Hardware.
