HP Proliant DL 385 low transfer rate
Hello, i've a Proliant DL 385 with Windows 2003 Enterprise. I installed the latest smartcd and made a speed check for data transfer rate with HD Tune. This tool reportet me a horrible rate (average 30MB/s). So this big and loud server has a Ultra 320 Controller with original HP Hard Drives (Ultra320 and 10k), Raid 5, and that cannot be.
Is this normal or is something wrong configured?

Re: HP Proliant DL 385 low transfer rate
Hi, we have some of these servers, no problem yet, but nevew checked speed via smartstart.
Check your bios/firmware/drivers status, probably run some windows based utils like HDTune 4x ?
Remember that raid5 has write penalty..
