Hello,
We have an issue on HP Proliant DL120 G5. Though I have created Raid 1, either Windows Server or VMware ESXI see 2 hard drives instead of 1 hard drive. What causes this to happen? Thank you in advance.

Re: HP Proliant DL120 G5 Raid problem
hi,Sir
May I know which OS types you installed. first you shoudl check the HPE OS matrix website to confirm this DL120G5 can support or not support the OS.
http://h17007.www1.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/windows.aspx#.Wm_XA_kdgZR
second,if the OS recognized the two separate hard drive ,that means the OS have not recognized the raid controller.so you should insert the raid controller driver by manual when install the OS.
I am an HPE Employee.

Re: HP Proliant DL120 G5 Raid problem
Thank you for your reply. I want to install ESXi 5.5 on Raid 1. I tried to boot with HPE ESXI Custom image, but didn't get the result. I had a look at the link you mentioned, but DL120 G5 is not listed, the oldest version of DL series is DL120 G6 in that list.
