HP Proliant DL140 drive
i have encounter a problem on this HP Proliant DL140 driver. i try to use this external backup device to backup database through SQL server 2005, but i can't select the tapes because it is disable.
can anyone please help me and provide me a solutions?

And can you see the backup device inside computer management - > Removable storage?

are you mean in SQL server 2005 itself or from the windows OS?
And can you see the backup device inside computer management - > Removable storage?

both i can see in removeable storage and device manager
but i still no manage to backup database

i need this solutions as i can tell my boss. currently we are doing the backup method as you mentioned: backup to disc then following by tapes.
