HP Proliant DL160 timer problem

Hi all,

I have a HP Proliant DL160 G5 server with latest Gentoo installed (with latest kernel). I have encountered the strange problem: sometimes (at least once a week) system clock leaps backward for some time (hours, days, sometimes months). After reboot I can see that BIOS time also leaps back. Also, the following messages sometimes arrives on console:

set_rtc_mmss: can't update from N to M

As I understand, such messages reports about a big difference between Linux system time and BIOS time.

We are reported this issue to local HP service, they are upgraded BIOS, then even replaced the motherboard, but the problem still exists.

Does anyone ever encounter the similar problem?

Thanks.
