embedded sata raid controller?
if so
configure your RAID using this PDF

Re: HP Proliant DL180G5 Raid5
Currently I have the embedded SATA controller as well as HP E200 SATA controller card in the server.
I'm told that when running on moer than 4 hard disks, a RAID card is required. Is that true ?
And also how do I configure with the E200 RAID card ?
Currently I configured the RAID 5 using windows disk management and not the HP BIOS. On my HP BIOS, I configured it as Raid 0 as seperate logical drive.

Re: HP Proliant DL180G5 Raid5
yes if using more that 4 HDDS you need a PCI controller like the one you got
and if you have the e200 it is much better
just press F8 when E200 shows up during boot up process and configure your RAID levels
bye
