HP Proliant DL360 G7 not picking up SAN connected via SCSI

HI there Guys

I am having a problem with my Hp proliant server picking up the SAN unit.

I have installed a new HP SC11Xe Host Bus Adaptor.

The BIOS does see the card but when i boot from the smart start disk it doesnt pick the SAN unit up.

Is there anything else that i can for the server to pick the SAN unit up ?

Thank You

Hi, change Boot Controller Order under RBSU [BIOS], and verify the Boot Controller Order

Re: HP Proliant DL360 G7 not picking up SAN connected via SCSI

Hi,

SAN = Storage Area Network.

Do you have a disk array connected to the SC11Xe? Which one?

.. Actually, when I look on this page: http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/adapters/sc11xe/index.html

Under SC11xe it says "

Max Drives Supported

N/A (tape support only)"

So it seems that this shouldn't work.

By the way, the smart start disks have old versions of the HP tools on them - try booting on the latest SPP instead: http://hp.com/go/spp

Doubt that would make a difference in this case..not that I could find one in the DL360 G7 quickspecs other than the SC11xe.
