HP Proliant DL380 G3 - Hard Drive SCSI ID changed

Hi all,

I have encountered a strange issue...

The server has 5HDDs in total, all are in RAID 5 with one hot spare. At location 2, the Hard drive shows amber light and we have replace it with new one.... But after replacing the hard drive, it didnt become the part of the RAID, it shows it as a seperate Hard Drive out side the RAID. HDD have the same spec like the other HDDs in RAID. Now one thing that been observed is that the previous HDD has the SCSI ID:6 and now the new replaced HDD has the SCSI ID:2. For reference please see the attached snapshot.
