HP Proliant DL380 Gen9 OS (RHEL 7.9) Installation Issue

Hi Everyone,
As stated in the subject I am having issue while installing OS. The issue is. There was already an OS (RHEL 6.8) was running on the server. I wanted to re install the OS. For that, I rebooted the server and entered to Smart Storage Administrator. From there I deleted the existing logical drive and created a new array. After that when I rebooted the Server to install the OS ( via bootable USB having Rhel 7.9 media).
I got the first screen where is says:

Install the Red Hat Entripise Linux 7.9

When I hit enter it then moved to the next screen, then I recived these errors:

  • the BIOS has corrupted hw-pmu resources
  • No caching mode page found
  • Assuming drive cache write through

then a loop of this error:

  • dracut-initqueue{1072}: Warning dracut initqueue timeout - starting timeout scripts

after this error loop it then displayed,

  • Could not boot.
  • /dev/root does not exist
  • Starting Dracut Emergency Shell...

This is the state my server is currenty in. Could anyone of you get me out of this? please I have been stuck here from many hours..!
Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Shozib

Hi @shozib ,

Thank you for the Post.

Please try the below or to der to get rid of the error messages, create a file under /etc/modules-load.d to load the driver usb-storage during the boot time:

# echo "usb-storage" >> /etc/modules-load.d/usb-storage.conf

Thank you Ram
