HP Proliant DL380 Gen9 won't boot off usb with windows server 2016 iso
Hello-
I have a new HP Prolian DL308 Gen9 Storage server. I have a usb with the Windows Server 2016 Standard on it.
When I have the usb inserted into the port, it does see a folder stucture but it won't let me continue on. When I check the status it reads "generic usb device unrecognized". What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Kevin O -

Same problem here. Can boot with USB in Legacy mode, but install doesn't work when going back to UEFI.

The key needs to be setup so it will boot UEFI and not MBR.
You might try using Rufus which is capable of creating a bootable USB which can be used with UEFI. I'd try partition scheme UEFI and choose File System as NTFS https://rufus.akeo.ie/
