HP Proliant DL380 R03

Hi there..I really need your help regarding this server. When I boot up, there is no video display and there is a orange light on the motherboard CR49. I tried reseating the memory cards or even change to new ones and still could not see any display in the monitor. Please help me out.

Re: HP Proliant DL380 R03

I don`t know if it work, but I would try to put in a PCI VGA card. Maybe the onboard VGA card is damaged?

Hi amukad,
Have to tried to boot server on minimum configuration?
If not then kindly remove all NIC and storage controller then boot the server on single processor, two DIMM
Update us if there is any change in status

Re: HP Proliant DL380 R03

Hi Amukad,
CR49 is not documented so its hard to tell its function.
May be the system board needs to be replaced

Yes. try also to google it but could not find the meaning. Can HP Technicans help? Can this problem fixed? changing the motherboard is a big work for a server.

I can understand your concern.
But I don't think so there is any other way around.

Had the same problem (CR49). I removed the CPUs and remounted them. Problem gone.
