HP Proliant DL380p & HP SSD Smart Path

Hello,

We're installing an DL380p with a SSD array.

We want to enable Smart Path on an existing logival volume.

The manual says that the newest driver HpCISSs3.sys-driver has to be loaded.

On my server I installed all the latest drivers/firmware but only HpCISSs2.sys is loaded !

Is Smart Path enabled ?

Where is the HpCISSs3.sys-driver for Windows Server 2012 ?

Regards,

Kurt Hofman,

ASCI nv.

Hi,

What is the SmartArray controller in this Gen8?

As far as I know, HpCISSs3.sys driver is for third generation controllers like HP Smart Array P430, P431, and P731m Controllers.

Refer to this Customer Communication.

Thank You!
I am a HP employee

Wow! you get all of the SAAP 2.0 features free now (except hp smartcache!)

Can anyone give us a press release on the new P430 ?

How come it wasn't 12gbps/sas ?

Is this still PMC chipset?

Are the heat issues gone?

Re: HP Proliant DL380p & HP SSD Smart Path

hi

the p430 is 12gb ready.

as long as hp does not offer 12gb disks, this feature will not be enabled.

a future FW upgrade will enable this feature.

a future FW upgrade will also enable the encrypting feature.

best regards
