HP Proliant DL385

Hello sorry for my English. I bought no new server DL385 G1. When turn on the green lights are burning, swirling fans, run discs, but the monitor displays nothing. Just flashing light on the monitor. If you pull a pair of memory that appears on the monitor error (which means that the video is working). Several times, loaded into windows, but now does not want. What is the problem? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1La54-39UrE
Thank you.

Re: HP Proliant DL385

hello,

1) amd servers must have memoy beside them. If I saw your video correctly, there is no memory next to one CPU.
2) All leds are green. Isn't there problem in your monitor or VGA cable?
3) could you use ILO (need serial connection or know IP and credentials)
4) try to unplug HDD's - if there is any change.

Re: HP Proliant DL385

Thank you for your reply.
1. I tried to rearrange all the memory in places like anything already. If you put in slots 1-4 modules 512mb and 1gb, but in slots 5-8 - 2x512 mb - the server is started but sees only memory in slots 5-8 (1gb). If you insert only in the 1-4 slots - does not work.
2. I tested it on two monitors. And the problem is definitely not the monitor. Read a little higher.
3. The server is not connected to a network cable, can not use the ILO. But the login and password I have.
4. HDD is off.
5. Memory - http://turinos.com/other/11.jpg
6. While working for some reason lights are lit on the motherboard. Nowhere in the instructions for these indicators are not mentioned. They are 8 total. (Memory slots are other indicators). The photo shows all. Once again I apologize for my English.

Re: HP Proliant DL385

hello,

as you know ILO user and pass (I assume you know IP as well), connect directly your pc/ntb to ILO interface (idealy with crossed cable, but if you have gigabit NIC it doesnt matter). Then log in a check ILO status, IML logs, there must be error you are loking for...
