HP Proliant GEN8 can't bootup
Hi,
Yesterday my gen8 suddenly start flash red light, and then i got the error log form Integrated Management Log:
28 System Error 08/12/2017 13:13 08/12/2017 13:13 1 An Unrecoverable System Error (NMI) has occurred (Service Information: 0x00000002, 0x00010002)
27 System Error 08/12/2017 13:13 08/12/2017 13:13 1 Unrecoverable System Error (NMI) has occurred. System Firmware will log additional details in a separate IML entry if possible
i have no idea what's the meaning,so i just reboot gen8, the screen shows ''Early Processor Initializaton'' and a progress of 40%, but stay at "memory and qpi link initlalization complete" for an eternity,it shows STATUS CODE : 0114.
is this of any help?
Thanks

Re: HP Proliant GEN8 can't bootup
I would try a bare-minimum hardware configuration and see if it gets farther. Remove all PCIe cards (including the NICs) from the server, and leave the bare minimum number of DIMMs in it. If that doesn't help, try flipping DIP switch 6 on the motherboard and power it on. That should reset the BIOS to factory defaults.
Have there been any recent changes to the server? Was the firmware upgraded, for example?
