HP Proliant ML 350 G5 & G6 Hard Drive Upgrade

I am trying to find out how large of hard drives I can upgrade my HP servers to.  One ML350 G5 has E200i controller - (4) 146gb 15k SAS hard drives in it with two open bays.

Another ML350 G5 has the same E200i - (2) 146gb 10k hdd's with 6 open bays, my HP ML350 G6 has P410i - (4) 146gb 10k SAS hdd's with 4 open bays.   I was able to find hdd's on Ebay that are 300gb but I was wondering if anyone has upgraded to anything larger successfully.  OR - if you have any ideas to enable more storage other than a NAS, I'm open to them also.  Thanks in advance!

You can plop in a P400 rather easily (ebay/be sure to get 512BBWC model!).

With that being said, 1.2TB 2.5" SAS HDD's work fine; although the maximum logical drive size might have to be less than 4TB - not sure if they fixed that bug or feature!

Hi,

You may refer to the Server's QuickSpecs to find out which part is compatible with the server.
