HP Proliant ML 350 g4p will not Automatically restart after power outage

I have an APC Smart-UPS connected via the serial port to this server.

When there is a power outage and the UPS reaches its runtime limit, it executes a shutdown.

Using the PowerChute Business Edition Basic, I have configured the UPS to reboot once it recharges to 15% battery capacity .

Unfortunately, the server does not get the command to start up again at this time.

Where is the setting in HP System Management that sets the behavior when power returns?

Hi Mzwarg,

1. In BIOS goto Server Availability and Enable Automatic Power-On.

2. In the iLO goto Virtual Devices -> Virtual Power and select "Yes" for Automatically Power On Server.

These options should help.

Raj.
