HP Proliant ML150 G2 raid installation
Hello,
I'm trying to install Ubuntu 8.04.2 on a proliant ml150 G2 server whith two sata HDD configured in raid1. I managed to configure the raid 1 and when the server starts, the logical disk array is detected. But during the installation, when I have to partition the disk, instead of showing me the logical array, it shows me the two sata drives, so the raid controler is not seen and I can't use raid in order to secure my installation.
Any idea to fix this?
Thanks by advance

Re: HP Proliant ML150 G2 raid installation
The RAID function of the embedded SATA RAID controller in that server is software not hardware RAID and is controlled by a driver. The driver is closed source and there is not a driver available for Debian or a Debian based derivative.
Your options are to switch to a Linux distribution that HP offers the driver for, or use the mirroring capabilities built into Linux.
