HP Proliant ML330 Fans hang @ startup

Every few weeks, when first powering up. The fans hang in 'turbo' mode. The "internal health LED" on the front panel sometimes shows red. All internal diagnostic LED's, when I looked, were green. There's a row of about 8 led's on the motherboard which constantly changes sequence during boot-up. When the system freezes with the fan in 'turbo' mode these freeze as well. Restarting the server usually cures the problem. Has anyone else encountered this - does it develop into something more terminal ?
Cheers
John.

Hello John,

There is a fix in the latest bios for system hangs, particularly with RILOE II modules installed or USB devices attached but I'm not sure this will apply. I assume your system is a ML330 G3 model.

Download this BIOS (D15 for G3) at the following link. If the problem persists, log a call and get HP to look at it.
