HP Proliant ML350 G3 Stop Responding, with red light on system

After reinstalling our servers, HP Proliant ML350 G3, with Windows Server 2003, the systems more than once were totally frozen.
When looking at the system also the red light on the front is on. The only way the restart the system is to power off and on again.
The systems were installed using SmartStart 7.70. One of the systems is running a RAID 5, controlled by an Array 651 card. When configuring this system it had a 'red light stop' 4 times on one day!! When looking in the Windows event log nothing can be found.
When we were running Windows 2000 Server we had no problems at all...

What can we do to prevent this?

Hello Kees,

How much Memory u've got here ? Such situations, install OS with MINIMUM memory;

Also, Use Firmware Maintenance CD 7.9 to update all the Fimware;

You may use SmartStart CD 7.9 as well, to install OS;

& then install the Lastest PSP 7.9;

I went a bit off track; Where do you see the RED led ? Internal health LED ? DO you see RED led on the System board as well ?

I see the red light on the front of the system, just above the network activity light.

what James means if according to the picture is cat be internal/external health if it internal:
- check system board
- check any light (LED)
- reseat componenets
- swap components
- minimum configuration
- ..

if it is external
- do you have redundant power supply?
- check another power cable
- another power source
