Re: HP Proliant ML360 G4 and Oracle 7

Hey,

topic says ML360.. I guess you have a DL360 G4?

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/solaris/supportmatrix/index.html#DL

The DL360 G4 is not listed in here so it's not supported. Only G5 servers.

But with that said, I suspect that as usual the thing that might be the problematic for installation is the driver for the controller card.

Which controller card do you have in this server?

Maybe you can try to use the drivers for SUSE when installing?

See downloads here:

Re: HP Proliant ML360 G4 and Oracle 7

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes it is DL360 G4.

So I should not take it for Orcale 7.
All the drivers are fine and ok even the RAID controller which is Smart array 6i.

Please reply.

Hi, I haven't tried. But maybe somebody else who has tried this may see this topic..

But I don't know enough about this Oracle 7 - is it related to SUSE? Then maybe you can use a SUSE smartarray 6i driver on the link above?
