Re: HP Proliant ML370 G5 Can't expand the array
I see in the website: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/th/en/sm/WF06c/A1-1697201-12423414-12423414-12423862-12423862-70920773.html
They write :"For Smart Array P400 Controller only. If you install the Battery-backed write cache as an upgrade to a Smart Array P400/256MB Controller, you must also order part 417836-B21 (HP Smart Array P400 24 Inch Battery Cable Kit)."
So i think i have to order 2 module :
1- 417836-B21 HP Smart Array P400 Battery Attach Kit
2- 383280-B21 BBWC Upgrade
Is it true ?
Thanks sir

Re: HP Proliant ML370 G5 Can't expand the array
Yes, i use the BBWC as your recommend .I have just expand Array and extend the logical drive , after that i use the diskpart tool of microsoft. it working OK ,
- Do i need to remove the BBWC after expand the Array ?
- After finish everything i use the ADU to check an array and i receive this message :
"Consolidated Error Report:
Controller: Smart Array P400 in slot 1
Device: Logical Drive 2
Message: Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on this logical drive. If background parity initialization is queued, it will start when I/O is performed on the drive. When background parity initialization completes, the performance of the logical drive will improve."
Please read the attach file for more detail
Could you please explain me why the ADU report this message ?
Thanks sir
