HP Proliant ML370 G6 - No sing of life after clear cmos
Hello,
I am encountering an issue with my Proliant ML370 G6. I bought it used and it was working good but wasnt able to detect disk from the cage (only direct plugged disk was detected). So before to buy another cage, I tried to clear cmos the server and the NVRAM.
After did this i tried to start on the server and now the server dont give any sign of life. Just spin the fans to the max speed (that make so much sound) and got failure led for CPU 1 and CPU 2.
So I tried to use only 1 RAM and 1 CPU (each by other) and nothing change.
I have access to ILO but some features are'nt working due to the server's state.
I haven't any more clue to this issue and I would like to get a last advice before to change the motherboard.
mirros.

I wonder if the issues are related. Is there an option to boot with a backup NVRAM?

Re: HP Proliant ML370 G6 - No sing of life after clear cmos
Hello,
I would suggest to you check any damage or CPU pin bent on CPU.
- Check the server with minimum configuration.
HPE ProLiant DL370 G6 Server - Configuring Memory
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c01746830&docLocale=en_US
- Remove all add-on PCI cards from the server.
- Do the power drain.(remove power cables form the server and hold on power button for 30 sec.)
- Follow the below documents for isolate the issue.
HPE ProLiant Servers - POST Error Messages and Beep Codes
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c01702138
- System board needs to be replace, if the issue still persists after performing the above steps.
- Or I would suggest, you have to log a proper case with HPE, and share the appropriate logs for further analysis.
