Hi,
I physically installed i/o Accelerators into my DL980s hardware running RHEL5.4 OS and Win 2008 server OS respectively:
1- How woud I know that the drivers and related software are correctly installed ?
2- How would I configure it to improve performance ?
3- How and what software or command would I use to monitor i/o performance statistiques ?
Best Regards,
Yaboto

Re: HP Proliant & I/O Accelerators issues
Hello Yaboto,
1) & 3) locate and install drivers pack for io accelerator for youe OS:
this package includes everything needed for accelerator.
2) configuration - first you have to created partitions/luns on it. Usage - it depends what you use on servers and what you expect. It could by suitable as lun for very I/O intensive parts of DB - like temp db for oracle/ms sql, swaps space etc. - simply everything which requests really high iops.
Of course - if you budget is lets say unlimited or your DB is small, place whole DB on such SSD lun.
