HP Proliant dl380e Gen8 Drivers

Hello,

I'm quite new to HP Proliant servers, but has acquired two of the above and need some drives for the Base System Device.  I have searched on the HP drivers pages and found others for the system, but not this.  Could you point me in the right direction?  Are there any CAB files available containing all system drivers?  Whilst the below is the only remaining device without a driver at all, some others are using Microsoft-selected drives, which you may suggest should be replaced...  We're running Windows Server 2019 on it.

PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&SUBSYS_3381103C&REV_05
PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&SUBSYS_3381103C
PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&CC_0880

Hi:

See if this driver works for you.  It should work on Server 2019.

https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=4091411&swItemId=MTX_d169c89b43b74b5d8aa397716d&swEnvOid=4184#

If the auto install file doesn't work try manually installing the driver as follows...

First, install this free file utility.  The 2nd file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

https://www.7-zip.org/

After you install 7-zip, right click in the ILO driver file you saved.

Select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.

Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name (cp036919).

Then open that folder and find the hpqilo3chif cabinet file.

Right click on that file and select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu, and have 7-Zip extract to:

Again, let it extract the file into its folder name.

Once that is done, go to the device manager, click on the Base System device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the hpqilo3chif folder that 7-Zip created.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Then restart the server.

Inside that cabinet file folder is the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted.

[HewlettPackard.NTamd64.6]
%iLO3.DeviceDesc% = hpqilo3chif_6, PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&SUBSYS_3309103C
%iLO3.DeviceDesc% = hpqilo3chif_6, PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&SUBSYS_330E103C
%iLO4.DeviceDesc% = hpqilo3chif_6, PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&SUBSYS_3381103C
%iLO4Aux.DeviceDesc% = null_driver, PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3307&SUBSYS_1979103C

Windows 10 is not supported on the ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2. That said, if you don't need a supported solution, you could try the latest "iLO 4 Channel Interface Driver for Windows Server 2016" that was released for that hardware:

https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/softwaredetails?language=en_US&softwareId=MTX_0829c2788a264d20ab39af3244

If that version doesn't load for some reason, you could try one of the newer versions for Windows Server 2016/2019 listed on the "Revision History" tab (but they were never supported on the ProLiant ML310e Gen8 v2):

https://support.hpe.com/connect/s/softwaredetails?language=en_US&softwareId=MTX_0829c2788a264d20ab39af3244&tab=revisionHistory

Of course, there would be no guarantees that it would work, much less supported.

Thank you very much!

I was able to download 2019 and install without any issues.
