Re: HP Proliant ml350 G4p heat/fanspeed problem
Absurd to replace the heatsink!
Well I have at least in 2 cses replaced the Heatzink, with the mentioned part no.
Before replacing the heatzink the CPU temp was aboave 84 dgr. C.
After replacing the temp dropped to appr. 40 dgr. C.
I suspect there's some kind of fluid inside those pipes.
I did try to clean off the old paste, and apply new, unknown brand, this only give a 4 dgr. improvement. But those 4 dgr. helped to kepp the server running, untill I got a new heatzink the next day.
Next day, got new heatzink, cleaned off paste. And used the pad from HP.
That was in the first case.
On the next case, I just waited for a new heatzink, and replaced accordingly.
