HP RDP and sysprep

when using rdp with ms sysprep, after the image is created it asks me for the 25 digit cd key.

I tried to find the sysprep answer file to check if it has the key in it, but it is not in its default location. not sure where rdp copies it to.

any ideas where I can enter the CD key?

Re: HP RDP and sysprep

Jan,

When you run sysprep, we dont do anything special with the sysprep.inf file or move it's location. I believe you will find it in the c:\sysprep folder by default - but you could put it anywhere.

If it were me, I would create a job like this:
1)Send all sysprep needed files to c:\sysprep
2) Send a batch file to the server that runs sysprep with required parameters
3)Go to the machine and edit the c:\sysprep\sysprep.inf file and add your product key.

OR

If you have an image already created, look at this article for a possible solution (it is for XP, but Windows 2003 is the same)
