HP SA P400 Cache Upgrade
im running the raid-card with the standart 256mb cache module, but im having 2 512mb caches laying around and wanting to upgrade the card with one.
and the all hell breaks loose... the card gives the error of "cannot start/boot card"
when i put the 'original' 256 back, it boots if nothing happend.
ive even have tryed booting the 2 512's with an spare P400, and that one boots also fine.
am at a loss here,
the server has been running now for 4 years.
the server, and the P400's have the latest firmware installed.
I run the following config:
HP DL185G5, thus 12drive's
2x WD Raptor, 300gb RAID1
1x WD Green, 800gb JBOD
3x WD Green, 800gb RAID5
3x WD Green, 800gb RAID5
3x WD Green, 800gb RAIID5
if you need more info, plz let me know, and i provide
