Re: HP Smart Array 5i

I do not know if Prashant S's attachment helps much, but most RAID controllers provide the same functionality. Differences may lie with the interface depending on the year of manufacture Ultra2, Ultra3, Ultra160 and U320 now a days and the processor that runs the functionality, CPU core and CPU speed. This is a pretty intensive process, running a RAID.
All the Compaq, HP, IBM, Dell, etc. are also just rebranded from the OEM, LSI Logic/Mylex or Intel or Adaptec.
