HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller (RAID 1) HDD Replace
Hello!
Can you please help me? I haven't experience in this issue and I do not want to kill server and OS.
A server HP Proliant DL180 G6 - HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller
Dead HDD on Port 1I: Box 1: Bay 1 - the first HDD.
When HDD disconnected OS load properly.
When I connecting a new HDD (same as old), automatic recovery does not occur, only boots in the ORCA in which proposes to make a new RAID 1.
And as I understand it in this case all information on HDD2 will erased.
Please advice how can I replaced HDD1 and rebuild RAID 1 without losing data?
Thanks in advance!

Re: HP Smart Array B110i SATA RAID Controller (RAID 1) HDD Replace
From the user guide:
If you are replacing a drive in a fault-tolerant configuration while the system is powered down, a POST
message appears when the system is powered up. When this message appears, press the F1 key to
enable automatic data recovery. If you do not enable automatic data recovery, the logical volume
remains in a ready-to-recover condition, and the same POST message appears when the system is
restarted.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
