HP Smart Array P800 controller.

Hi ,

I would like to know if HP Smart Array P800 controller which I am using on HP ProLiant DL380 G5 will work with HP ProLiant DL380p Gen8.

Hi,

P800 is not compatible with Gen8 servers because Gen8 uses Second Generation of Smart Array Controllers for example P822.

I have installed a Smart Array P800 controller in my ML310e Gen8. The oprom text I would normally expect does not print during the boot sequence and lspci does not show the P800.
