HP Support Wizard is RUBBISH at helping establish warrenty status
A 750W hot-plug power module (512327-B21) stopped working. It's in a ML330 G6. Fortunately it's one of a pair.
The label says it has Serial Number CEXD1017176740.
I go to the Support Wizard and enter this serial number which I can see on the label of the module in my hand right now and it tells me that it's not right.
So, how the hell am I supposed to check on the warrenty status of this item?
There are 4.6E15 unique instances of a 14 alpha-numeric serial number in this format. So why can't mine be found?
P.S. This thread has been moved from Community Feedback & Suggestions to ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL). - Hp Forum Moderator

Re: HP Support Wizard is RUBBISH at helping establish warrenty status
Hi,
Did you try the Server Serial number?
Warranty status may not be available on component level serial number.
Thank You!
