HP System Management Hompage Time Out

Last week onwords i could not load System Management Home page .
While opening an error is showing that a Time out occured

The system management homepage LOG showing the following INFO

Can you help me .. I have 3 servers .. but i am facing problem
with only one server.

Server = PROLIENT DL 380 g5

OS is win2003 server R2 full patched ....

I saw some information abt SNMP and i configured it
now the time out is not showing
But the processor, Management softer version, system model and overall system status are not retreving correctly
(these all are coming with Question mark)

I found that advisory few months ago because I had similar issue

I recommend you to install the latest

- HP Version Control Agent for Windows

- HP Insight Management Agents for Windows Server
http://urlao.com/hpima

HP System Management Homepage for Windows
http://urlao.com/smhp

and also about the system model unknown I had to inactive HP NIC Agent
on Control Panel // HP Management Agents

well in my case that was the agent that was causing the unknown system

Hi,

just summarizing :
To have SMH functioning properly

1. Insight Management Agents must be up and running
2. SMH ports must be opened/browser security must not be very strict...
3. SNMP must be configured

In your case agents are installed before SNMP is configured, so only restaring the Agents service and then opening SMH must bring you success.

I installed latest versions and now all the errors related to smh disappear and now it is retreving info ....
