HP array not rebuilding missing an impossible disk

Having a weird problem.
I have a dl380 G3 with 6 internal disks.
1 disk failed and i replaced it with a new one.
Now the the array is not rebuilding. After investigation the raid tells me it is missing a disk with id 12 and the replaced disk has id 4.
How to fix this weird problem while i just have 6 internal bays.

Re: HP array not rebuilding missing an impossible disk

Hi!

Sometimes when you have a fail hard drive in the array and there is a second hard drive in predictive failure or failed. When you replace the new hard drive it will not rebuild the information, becuase of the hard drive in predictive failure or failed. You need to backup the information if possible and create the raid again. Raid 6 or ADG is an exception.
If it's not fun, you're not doing it right
