HP pulls Proliant Gen9 spectre update from website!
http://h22208.www2.hpe.com/eginfolib/securityalerts/SCAM/Side_Channel_Analysis_Method.html
Product Name Impacted ROM Family Resolved in ROM Version Mitigation and Notes
ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Yes P89 v2.54 System ROM Removed from the Download Site
Ouch,
Anyone knows what the impact is on the installed base?
I read somehwere more 'spontaneous reboots' are observed with the update but what's the word from HPE?
EDIT:
Advisory: ProLiant Gen8 and Gen9 Series Servers - CUSTOMER ACTION REQUIRED: Some System ROMs That Addressed the Side Channel Analysis Vulnerability Have Been Removed from the HPE Download Site
