HPASM problems on Proliant DL380 G5
We use hpasm on some Proliant DL380 G5 servers with the OpenIPMI drivers (from Fedora Core 5) but occasionally the cmahealthd dies and we get the following messages:
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:42:31 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]: Failed GET SENSOR READING, sensor 9
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:42:31 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]: iLO 2 Communications Error - Attempting synchronization!
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:43:16 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]: check_ilo2: Failed to get BMC Device Id!
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:44:01 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]: The iLO 2 reset / synchronization process has FAILED!
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:44:01 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]: CRITICAL ERROR: Resetting HP Advanced System Management Stack!
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:44:01 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]: The iLO 2 Management Processor is not responding!
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:44:01 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]:
/var/log/messages:Aug 19 08:44:01 cst1 hpasmlited[3162]: CRITICAL ERROR: Resetting HP Advanced System Management Stack!
The following messages in /var/spool/compaq/cma.log are also relevant:
Aug 19 08:44:01 cst1 cmahealthd[2558]: CheckForResMemChange: IOCTL ERROR 0xffffffff
Aug 19 08:44:31 cst1 cmahealthd[2558]: ERROR: ioctl dev_cevt EVT_JALOG failed!
Aug 19 08:44:31 cst1 cmapeerd[2505]: [hpasmpeer] Disconnect agent: cmahealthd
Unfortunately, we cannot use the hp-OpenIPMI drivers, because they are only available for Redhat EL, not for Fedora. Another question: Where can i get the source code for the hp-OpenIPMI drivers so i can compile them?
Thanks in advance,
Florian George.
