HPE DL20 Gen10 Fan 3 noise status is at 65%

Hello everebody,

Please need your help.

I have a HPE Proliant  DL20 Gen10 and the  Fan 3 is noisy status reaches 65%.

Server is running Windows 2012 r2 and the services bellow are already running in the machine.

System ROM
U43 v2.20 (10/27/2020)

iLO 5 Firmware Version
1.45 Jun 27 2019

ams.exe 2.30.2.0 agentless management service
necheschif.sys 4.1.0.0 ilo 5 channel interface driver
sma.exe 2.30.2.0 system management assistant service
smartpqi.sys 106.178.0.1009 smartraid, smarthba pqi storport driver

From Windows Device Manager i can see the following uninstalled drivers that i believe are the source of the excessive fan speed problem:

PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller.

PCI Device

PCI Simple Communications Controller.

PCI Simple Communications Controller.

Unfortunatelly i could not find the above drivers anywhere.

Any feedback will be very helpfull.

Hello,

  1. Update the server with the latest bios and all firmware.
  2. Update the SPS firmware with the latest.

  1. Needs to update Innovation Engine Firmware 0.2.2.0.

Problems Fixed:

Addressed an extremely rare issue where Processor or Memory temperature reporting may not be collected properly by the platform and the system fans may be running faster than expected. This issue has been seen occasionally after a server reboot and is typically corrected with a subsequent server reboot
