HPE Drive Exspansion
Hi,
We have a Prolaint ML150 G9 with a Smart HBA H240 (RAID Mode) this controller has no cache module as its a basic controller.
Our client wants a disk exspansion and we aim to do a offline disk exspansion.
I know with a battery and a cache we could do a online exspansion but with no cache or battery its not possible.
My question is can we do a offline disk expsansion with this controller and no cache or is it being a basic controller this is not possible and we are looking at configuring a new array.
Kind regards
James

Re: HPE Drive Exspansion
Hi,
The only solution is to create a new array.

Re: HPE Drive Exspansion
Thanks Erdogan,
Is this HPE's offical stamp on this as the controller is a basic controller model.
I have a feeling it will be, but i will have to rasie the issue with my operations manager if it is.
From doing investigation i dont think there is a cache module or battery for this controller?
