HPE ML30 Gen10 Bifurcation support 16x => 4x4x4x4x

Can anyone provide guidance as to whether you can bifurcate the 16x slot to 4x4x4x4x on a HPE ML30 Gen10 or will this require a PLX switched PCIe board?

Hi,

In BIOS setting, there is an option to bifurcate, but it does not give any more details.

Configuring PCIe bifurcation options

Procedure

1. From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > PCIe DeviceConfiguration > Advanced PCIe Configuration > PCIe Bifurcation Options.

2. Select the bifurcation option for each PCIe slot.
•Auto
•Bifurcate
•Dual Bifurcate

NOTE:  ◦Dual Bifurcation is not supported on ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 Plus.◦Dual Bifurcation is not supported on MicroServer Gen10 Plus and is not supported on AMD Gen10 Plus products(DL325 Gen10 Plus and DL385 Gen10 Plus).

3. Save your settings.

Hi,

The "dual bifurcate" option is not present in the BIOS on ML30 Gen10, only "auto" and "bifurcate". This option was added via BIOS update for DL385 Gen10 Plus after previously missing (https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/swd/detail?swItemId=MTX_c530466269d14674bdca97394e#tab4), is it possible this issue will be addressed via BIOS update for ML30 as well?
