We purchased a new machine PROliant DL360 GEN10 with a Disc drive 7.2K SAS DS 1 TB when we try to configure/format the drive we get "there are no configurable physical drives attached to the controller". It appears to be connected properly, we tried different drive slots ... Same results. Any assistance would be appreciated!
Thank you!

Re: HPE PROliant DL360 GEN10 No Physical Drive Found
Hi
You have to make sure which smart array controller you're using,
if backplane's cable is connecting to S100i SR ,you have to enable the S100i in BIOS,because the S100i is disabled by default.
you could try to enter BIOS and confirm the which controller displayed in the System Configuration.
also,S100i SR only support SATA disk drive.

SolutionThank you for taking the time to reply, much appreciated. It turned out that we received a defective drive, the HP supplier was quite useless. We contacted another supplier and they sent a new drive. It was installed and the system had no issues from then on.
Thank again for your contribution! Have a good day!
