I am getting this Halhook error on the Event Viewer Log.
Event ID 7000, Source: Service Control Manager,
Description: The HalHook service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified.

Find which file (specifically) is missing, and copy it from the distribution cd or another (working) computer.
