Hangup while deployment of a ML 110 G2

Hello there

The problem is rather anoying. I have just received our new Storage Server (ML110 G2) connected all the cables etc and booted the system. It runs through the conf of the primary and the secondary OS but it hangs it self after about 90% of the "creating data drive"-task. I tried a quick restore and started the whole procedure again with the same result.
Any solution? can I configure it manualy?
I find it difficult, since all the documentation i got with it starts after this autoconfiguration.
btw: I let it run long enough (about 14h over night).

When we got our server the hd was bad. It worked partially - but made lots of noise and failed at writing.
