Hard Disk too slow in HP ProLiant DL120 G5

Hi

I have a HP ProLiant DL120 G5 - Rack - 1-way - Intel┬о Pentium┬о processor E3110, RAM 6 GB - HDD 1 x 160 GB, 1 X 500GB

I am running VMWare on this server with just 1 guest virtual machine. I find that hard disk performane is really quite slow. I

want to try and improve the performance of the hard disks because our bussiness performance is falling down.

Can you give me one solution or idea to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Gabriel

One of the solution is to replace the SATA 7.2k HDDs with the SAS 15k HDDs. You can buy

1 x 411508-B21 HP Smart Array E200/128MB Controller
1 x 457692-B21 HP NHP SAS/SATA 4Port Cbl Kit
2 x 516824-B21 HP 300GB 6G SAS 15K 3.5in NHP Dp ENT HDD

and configure the HDDs with RAID0 or 1.

Ok.
Do you know another tip to improve performance without buy new hardware?

Thanks again.
