Hard drive Supplemental firmware upgrade problem
Hello,
Today I wanted to upgrade firmware in hard drive in my ProLiant ML 350 G3. It's supplemental update for BF03687B54 model (36 GB Ultra320 SCSI) dated 16 May 2006 (http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/download/24590.html). It upgrades firmware to version HPB5A (currently I have HPB4) and resolves problems with timeouts (during last 6 months I had 4 timeouts...). I booted server from HP Firmware Maintenace CD 7.50 and selected Supplemental Update. Application searched removable devices but after that it said that there's no applicable devices in server for this update. I'm sure I have drive model BF03687B54 - why updater didn't find it? I tried twice - the same effect. Please help...
Regards,
Krzysztof

Re: Hard drive Supplemental firmware upgrade problem
Krzysztof,
In the short-term, you can use the Firmware CD 7.40 supplemental update feature to install the firmware you require. We'll take a look at the issue with the 7.50 CD.
Thanks,
Michael Garner
